Air Conditioning Energy Assessor
Energy Assessors wishing to carry out air conditioning energy inspections will need to gain the qualification DIP ACEA. This will allow them to become accredited as an Air Conditioning Energy Assessor.
Air-conditioning systems with an effective output of 12kw or more must be regularly inspected by an energy assessor. As a guideline, CLG have stated that the inspections must be conducted no more than 5 years apart. For all systems put in to service in or after January 2008, then the first inspection will be due 5 years after the install date and put in to service. For all systems, where the effective rated output is more than 12kw, the first inspection must happen.
By 4 January 2011 if it is larger than 12 kW.
By 4 January 2009 if it is larger than 250 kW.
Within five years if it was installed on or after 1 January 2008.
